This site describes Ultivo Toolkit, a WordPress plugin made by WP Ultimate. The free version is distributed through wordpress.org; Pro licenses are sold through Freemius.
How the plugin is licensed
Ultivo Toolkit is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. That applies to both the free version and Pro. You may use it on as many sites as you like, read the source, change it, and pass it on under the same license.
What a Pro license buys is not permission to use the code. It buys access to the Pro build, updates through the licensed update channel, and priority support, for as long as the license is active.
What a Pro license covers
- The number of sites stated on the license you bought. Activating it on more sites than that will not work until you upgrade.
- Updates and priority support while the license is active.
- Upgrading to a larger license at any time, paying the difference.
If a license expires, everything keeps working: your site, your content, and the Pro features you have already set up. What stops is Pro updates and priority support, until you renew. Activations on development and staging installs do not count towards your total, provided the domain identifies them as such.
Your license key
Your license key belongs to your account. It is not for sharing, reselling, or passing on to clients or anyone else. The plugin itself is GPL and you may pass the code on, as set out above; the key is not code, it is your access to the Pro build, to updates and to support. Activating it on sites you manage is exactly what it is for, up to the number of sites your license covers. When someone else takes over a site for good, deactivate the plugin there and let them activate their own license.
Where a key is shared or resold, we may suspend or revoke the license.
Buying, invoices and refunds
Purchases are handled by Freemius, which acts as the Merchant of Record. They are the seller on your invoice, they collect any VAT that applies, and their terms govern the transaction itself. Prices on this site exclude VAT.
There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, handled by Freemius. Ask within 30 days of the purchase and you get your money back.
Support
Support for the free version runs through the plugin's forum on wordpress.org. Pro licenses get priority support. Support covers the plugin itself: it does not extend to your theme, your other plugins, your hosting, or custom code written against the API.
No warranty
The plugin is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as set out in the GPL. We test it thoroughly and we fix what breaks, but we cannot promise it fits every site or every combination of plugins. Take a backup before installing anything, this one included.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law.
Changes
We may change these terms as the product changes. The date at the top says when they were last updated. Changes do not apply retroactively to a license you already bought.
Applicable law
Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not take away the protections your own country's law gives you.
